Sister can out that she is dating boy toy.
He visited several times this summer with his 2 kids
The last time, my parents took my two kids up to visit... utter disaster.... The house was a wreck....
The announced that they are now engaged and getting married in Oct.
The wedding date was changed... Now the weekend before Halloween.
I was told (not asked) to do the cake and to give it to her as her gift.
I was also told I would need to travel with the cake 6 plus hours...
Ry and Hubs were asked to be ushers and Ans was asked to attend the bridal book and was told to get a nice fancy dress that mommy and daddy would pay for...
I have had WW3 with my mom over this mess twice now and we still have 2 plus months to go.
Oh and yes, the wedding is in a town that has 1, Uno, Single motel.

I'm opening up a huge can of worms but...
My mom and stepfather have been married for almost 22 years. Now, being that they are in their 60's, I would like to have some kind of celebration for their 25th Wedding Anniversary in a few years.
Hubs and I started talking about this the other night because we will have their anniversary and the in-laws 50th within 2 years of each other. So it will take some planning and saving on our parts. I'm sure the in-laws will want to have a party in their hometown when the time comes around. I'm sure that will be subject to lots of posts about R and C.
However, with my parents, there really is not a good place to have a party. They did not group up close to each other, most of the family is spread from sea to shining sea, so therefore a party seems to involve a lot of people traveling. So, I'm going to purpose to everyone that we do a family vacation some place. That would include the 'rents, our family and my sister's family.
I spoke with mom briefly this morning and she agreed that a trip sounds great. She suggested maybe a cruise or a family trip to WDW.
I'm going to start thinking and planning, so that we can make a decision by mid-fall what we want to do. If we plan a cruise, dates, fares and information will be out by the fall of this year. If we plan a trip to WDW, I would like to do something magical and I would have to book that at least 15 months in advance.
I'm just imagining what sis is going to say.....

Last night we had dinner at the in-laws house, so that Ry could work on a project with the Father-in-law. While there, the mother-in-laws retells a story that hubs and I had hear small pieces of.
First, C has to always have the latest and greatest toys, so he had to buy a new Ipad when they first came out. So, earlier this week he posted on FB that he had had the ipad stolen right out of his hands in a large metro area shopping mall. His FB story did not add up to hubs and I, but we let it go and decided to forget about it.
Last night, MIL brought up the whole situation and explained what really happened. He placed the ipad on craigs list and wanted to sell it, so that he could buy the ipad2 that was coming out this week. Someone contacted him and asked to meet at a local mall. C said yes, and they set a time and date for the meeting.
Once he arrived at the mall the other gentleman did not show up. There was a phone call in which the person claimed to not be able to find C in the crowds. He asked C to meet him right outside an entrance to the mall. Needless to say, as soon as he stepped outside the door, the person grabbed the ipad out of his hands and took off running. No one was around and he made off with the ipad...
Kinda stinks, but really what was he thinking.

A long break
I have been on a blogging break for a while because our home live was a little up in the air. Hubs ended up being layed-off from work in mid-January.
It was a very tough 3 weeks, but by Valentine's Day he was gainfully employed again. So, we have been getting use to have him work from home.
The adjustment has not be bad, except we have had to juggle the evening kid duties because hubs is working until 6 pm most night.
I do have a couple of fun E stories, so hopefully I can share them this week.

As many of you know, our lives have been very stressful and yo-yoish over the last 30 days. Hubs job has been up in the air and that has made many parts of our lives stressful.
This wee is a big week on many fronts. I would like to ask that you pray that there will be some answers, direction and options by the end of the week. Hubs has several interviews, possible jobs and opportunities that would be wonderful for our family.
I promise when all of this is settled, I will fill you in on the details.

Christmas Morning
Was filled with lots of fun. It started way to early. The kids got up and wondered why Santa had not left anything in his normal spot. I explained that the reason Santa did not leave anything upstairs was because he was mad that they did not leave any cookies out for him. So Ry and Ans went running down stairs to see if Santa had left anything under the downstairs tree. He had. They quickly ran over to their pile of items and began looking over everything.
The kids each got 3 items from Santa plus their stockings. Now, Santa has a sense of humor in our household. Hubs and I stuff each others stockings. I always have way to much stuff for his stocking, so some of it gets lay ed out for his viewing enjoyment.
After Stockings/ Santa, we had breakfast. Our traditional breakfast is Monkey Bread. We ate and the kids began to wait for the grandparents to arrive.
The first set of people to arrive would be the in-laws, R. and C. We passed out presents and began opening. We open presents one person at a time, from youngest to oldest. It takes us a few hours to open everything. That way we can enjoy what everyone got each other. R and C gave me the best present! I got a whole package of AA batteries and a Cricut cartridge. Now, don't get me wrong- I love the Cricut cartridge. It was the exact one that I asked for. The batteries where a kiss my a$$ type present. I thanked them and just tried to not let them see that it pissed me off....
After everything was opened, people wanted to "play" with their new toys. Ry wanted to play with the game that the in-laws had gotten him. The game "Mind Flex" required a large amount of batteries... all in sizes I did not have. So, this envoked a nasty comment from R about how I did not get the right batteries again this year. He went on to say a good mother would have gotten the right size for all of the presents, so that they could be played with on Christmas morning.
Needless to say, I was a little pissed about getting batteries and was not to sad to see R and C leave before dinner was served.
